Kahbang Moves Festival Location to Portland

The KAHBANG Music & Art Festival is relocating its 2014 event from Bangor to Portland, Maine for the weekend of August 7th – 10th.

The sudden change of location stems from a series of logistical issues the non-profit organization met while prepping for its sixth year on the Bangor Waterfront. The festival organizers, a small group of dedicated volunteers, made every effort possible to continue the festival in its hometown. However, the challenges facing the organizers created a situation where the KAHBANG Festival would need to be moved to an alternate location that could support the event at short notice.

Medicare Patrol Volunteers Cut Fraud and Waste

Want to provide an invaluable service to your community? Join Spectrum Generations volunteer Senior Medicare Patrol team and make a difference by cutting down on Medicare fraud and abuse.

Spectrum Generations, in collaboration with Legal Services for the Elderly, is holding its next 3-day Senior Medicare Patrol training from 8am to 2pm on Thursdays, August 7, 14 and 28 at Spectrum Generations Southern Midcoast ADRC Center located at 35 Union Street in Brunswick (with-in the PeoplePlus building).

This “train the trainer” workshop will give you the tools you need to teach people how to navigate the complex Medicare system and prepare you to do public presentations, provide individualized counseling on Medicare Part D, and in general educate the public about Medicare fraud and abuse.  Breakfast snacks and refreshments will be served,  but we ask that you “brown bag it” for lunch.
