BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in a bank robbery late Saturday afternoon in Bangor. Officials say a lone male suspect entered the TD Bank location at 878 Stillwater Ave in Bangor at approximately 3:10PM. Bangor PD says the man handed the teller a note demanding cash. The suspect left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen running behind the Five Guys restaurant. Bank staff describes the suspect as a white male, being approx. 6'2"-6'4" and 200-220 lbs, in his late 30's or early 40's, wearing a black sweatshirt with a grey hoodie underneath and dark jeans. Police are asking anyone that has information concerning this incident to call the Bangor Police at 947-7384. Police say if you wish to remain anonymous, the tip line is 947-7384 x 6. The investigation of the robbery is ongoing.
