Bangor parking issues and snow removal
News, Transportation
There was a lot of snow dumped on Bangor last night, on top of the icy stuff that was already here. Bangor Public Works crew has been working all day to clear the roads of snow, and they will be continuing into the night.

Motorists are reminded that there is an odd/even parking ordinance in the City of Bangor from November 1 through March 31. Unless otherwise posted, vehicles may park only on the odd side of the street on odd numbered days and the even numbered side of the street on even numbered days. Vehicles parked on city streets in violation of this ordinance may be towed at the owner's expense. Vehicles that are parked in violation of this ordinance can be towed at the owner’s expense, and there is a high probability of that happening this afternoon and evening if they are interfering with snow removal. As always - there is no on street parking allowed between the hours of midnight and 6 AM in residential areas at this time of year and vehicles will be towed at owner's expense if they are interfering with snow removal.

There WILL BE a parking ban in the downtown parking district tonight from 11:00 PM until 06:00 AM on the 31st as crews work to clean up the snow. During this ban vehicles may be parked in the first level of the Pickering Square and Columbia Street parking garages but they will need to be moved before 08:00 AM when these areas revert to permit parking only.
