Bangor barbershop looks to help by cutting hair | News
BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Workers at a barbershop in Bangor will be cutting hair on Sunday all to help out the less fortunate.
'Cornerstone Barber Shop' will be offering free cuts this Sunday. Five barbers plan to cut hair and offer shaves for no charge at all. Instead they are asking all guests to make a donation of any amount to 'Manna Ministries' in Bangor. There it will go to help the homeless and less fortunate.
The barbers say they will have jars at the shop for patrons to drop off whatever they can give. They say with winter in full swing they wanted to do whatever they could to give back to the community.
"We have clientele here that have been doing fine all the years that I've known them and they're really struggling now," said Terry Hall, who is one of the managers of the shop, "and it's just our way of trying to be thankful for what the area has given our business as well as to give back in some way."
The shop will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
