LePage takes town hall forum into people's living rooms | News
BANGOR, Maine (AP) -- Maine Gov. Paul LePage's next town hall forum can be seen in living rooms in parts of Maine.
LePage is holding a town hall-style forum Tuesday evening that's hosted by WVII-TV at Husson University. The Bangor TV station will carry the event live over the air, on cable and via livestream online.
There will be a small audience chosen by the TV station, and officials say the event will be unscripted.
LePage has famously declared that he doesn't like newspapers, and his office said the televised event will allow Mainers to hear directly from the governor about his vision. Reporters from other media outlets will not be permitted.
