Woman arrested near scene of fatal Bangor shooting | News
BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Bangor police have arrested a woman who was at the scene of Tuesday night's officer-involved shooting in Bangor.
Police said Kayla Massicotte was arrested on warrant, bail violation, and possession of heroin.
Police confirm the suspect in the incident has died.
Witnesses tell NEWS CENTER that police had a vehicle pulled over when a man exited the car and ran away towards some woods. Witnesses then say they heard what they believe to be gunfire.
"He walked up with the cop, leaned against the hood, and he looked really sketchy because, all I did was see him look back twice of his shoulder and then out, not a second later, he darted through the woods. I'd say about 30 seconds later, I heard about 12 gunshots," said Ryan Wylie, who witnessed the incident.
The Bangor Police Department said no officers were injured in the shooting. The Maine Attorney General's Office is investigating as is protocol in all officer involved shooting
