BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Scott Ramsdell, the man who pleaded guilty to OUI and manslaughter charges back in March for killing Denise Golding in a car crash has taken a plea agreement.

In January of 2014, officials said Ramsdell struck and killed the East Millinocket teacher on Route 9 in Eddington.

Ramsdell's plea deal states he will serve about two-and-a-half in prison with four years of probation. He must also pay $2,100 in fines and his license will be suspended for six years.

Before the sentencing, Ramsdell addressed the court stating he was sorry and there was nothing he could do about the accident. Golding's family sat in court Tuesday morning with tears running down their faces. Her daughter said, "there is no justice in a case like this."
