Acadia Hospital New Educational Series a Hit

“An Open Mind” hosts 68 attendees
Bangor, ME – On the evening of March 10 The Acadia Hospital offered the first presentation in the new Open Mind series, called “The Wisdom of the Aging Brain”, featuring Dr. Clifford Singer, Director of Geriatric Mental Health and Neuropsychiatry at Acadia.
This free community educational presentation attracted 68 attendees, and was unanimously well received based on the feedback forms collected after the talk. According to Acadia President and CEO David S. Proffitt, the turnout and feedback indicate an Open Mind is filling a need. “We were hoping for 20 attendees, so having nearly 70 people in attendance is a wonderful thing to see. Acadia will continue offering these types of presentations as a service to the community as we look to share our expertise and quality staff with our friends and neighbors.”
