"Our semi-annual e-waste events create nothing but a win-win-win," stated Susan Jonason, Challenger Executive Director. "Residents from any community are able to get rid of all of the electronic junk that they've collected, the waste doesn't end up in a landfill, and in exchange for providing this free service, attendees make charitable cash donations to help Challenger in its mission to inspire Maine's students in STEM education. We don't benefit from the recycled materials ... but the cash donations received make this event an important fundraiser for us."
