End Violence Together: Rally and March to Build a Culture of Peace

End Violence Together: Rally and March to Build a Culture of Peace

As part of the national Campaign Nonviolence, the public is invited to gather on September 27 at 1:30 p.m. on the Bangor waterfront for End Violence Together.  A rally featuring drumming, speakers and music will be followed by a march through downtown and a closing ceremony.

This public action, co-sponsored by some 37 Maine organizations, will raise awareness of the interrelationship of war, poverty and environmental destruction; will demonstrate our commitment to work collaboratively to build a culture of peace and nonviolence and to promote a new worldview that embraces nonviolent solutions for the common good.

Together we can be a strong, diverse and visible presence for peace and nonviolence.
