Old Town-Orono YMCA Relay for Life Team Hosts 4th Annual BAZIP Party | Events
The Old Town-Orono YMCA Relay for Life team will be hosting the 4th Annual BAZIP Party (Bangor Area Zumba Instructor & Participants’ Party) this year. This is a charity Zumba party event for the American Cancer Society that will be held on April 24th from 7-9pm at the Old Town-Orono YMCA. 100% of the proceeds will aid the YMCA’s Relay for Life team in their fundraising goals this year for the Penobscot Relay Event in May that goes directly to the American Cancer Society.
“Relay For Life is a life-Changing event that helps communities across the globe celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease (www.relayforlife.org)”. Each year, the Penobscot Relay for Life Event brings in monies from a variety of organizations and teams to aid in the research to end cancer. This year the Penobscot Relay for Life event is on May 15th and 16th at the University of Maine - Orono campus.
The Old Town-Orono YMCA starts up their team once again and dives into fundraising for this cause that has impacted so many. The BAZIP Party began as just a small idea that has turned into a large event that annually brings in much aid to the American Cancer Society. On Friday, April 24th Maine Zumba Instructors will be getting together with participants from their class and the general public to raise money. From 7-9pm, instructors will take turns teaching for participants in a party setting. This is a night for laughter, fun, giving, and much love as we honor all battling or lost to cancer as well as those caregivers who would move the earth to see cancer to an end! This is one event you don’t want to miss!
