Bangor Humane Society looks to win $100K challenge | Community Spirit
The Bangor Humane Society has been embarking on an incredible journey this past summer to Save More Lives. They are currently competing in the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, which began August 1, 2012 and ends October 31, 2012. Their goal is to not only vie for the ultimate prize of $100,000 for the shelter by increasing their adoption numbers more than any other shelter competing nationwide, but to save more lives.
But, they need your help. The contest challenges the Bangor Humane Society to increase their adoption rate significantly. The 1200 lives saved goal by October 31 is a huge goal because they are competing against some of the largest cities in the nation. They are more than halfway through the challenge and want to keep going.
Each weeknight WLBZ NEWS CENTER 2 at 6, you’ll see a pet that’s up for adoption. If each one of these pets gets adopted, the Bangor Humane Society will be that much closer to winning the challenge.
