Food drive raises over 10,000lbs off non-perishable food items

Six Papa John’s stores in Maine held a food drive on May 6th and 7th.  It was a huge success.  People brought in 3 or more non-perishable food items and received a free large one topping pizza.

We raised the following: (in pounds)

Bangor - 1,997

Biddeford - 3,416

Lewiston - 3,326

Brunswick - 1,025

Waterville - 638

Portland -117

Tota l - 10,519

Providing over 8,765 Meals.  Plus all the free pizza!

How did you celebrate Maine Maple Sunday? I visited Nutkin Knoll Farm in Newburgh, ME on Sunday. We visited the Sugar House and walked the trails to see how they tap trees to gather the sap to make maple syrup. It was fun to see locally how maple syrup is made.
