NON-PROFITS COMPETE FOR $2,000 DONATION

KahBang is proud to introduce Food Fight, a unique bake-off fundraiser for non-profits selling tasty treats to win a cash donation. On August 9th and 10th at the Bangor Waterfront during the KahBang music | art | film Festival, dozens of non-profit groups will sell delicious desserts to the general public and compete for a $2,000 donation.
“Every year KahBang hosts an event to give back to the community. With the creation of Food Fight, KahBang is aiming to offer support and generate awareness about local non-profits. This is a fun spin on a traditional fundraiser and we really hope people come and learn about all the great groups that are participating and try all their desserts.”  -Sarah Harrington, Associate Marketing Director

This event is open to the public and people may purchase “Bake-Sale Tickets” at the door. Each ticket is worth $1.00 and tickets may be exchanged for baked goods. Each non-profit will get to keep 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales and the group with the most tickets at the end of the Festival will win the $2,000 cash donation. The first runner up will receive a $1,000 donation and the second runner up, a $500 donation. The deadline for non-profits to apply to participate in Food Fight is July 13th.

The KahBang music | art | film Festival is in its 5th year and taking place along the Bangor Waterfront, in downtown Bangor. This year KahBang is opening the Festival Grounds to the general public and offering a few ticketed events.
