Walk your way to better health in 2011

The Make Tracks Walking Program is looking for walkers to join the fun and stay healthy through the winter months. This free program is coordinated through Maine Coast Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program with free pedometers and T-shirts for participants.

The Make Tracks Walking Program is designed to give participants a place to walk with friends during the colder weather months. Participants are encouraged to count their steps and set goals with the use of the pedometer. The main purpose of the program is to keep active and have some fun. This program is for all ages and fitness levels.

The group meets in the lobby of the James Russell Wiggins Down East Family YMCA every Tuesday and Thursday to walk in the gym from 11a.m. until noon. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, clean shoes. Drop-ins are welcome. For more information please contact Bernadette at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital 664-5636.
