McDonald's Breakfast Makes a Difference program will provide volunteers with breakfast and coffee from McDonald's, snacks from Newman's Own® Organics, and t-shirts.

Maine McDonald's® and Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of Maine are putting out a call for volunteers for the 20th annual Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 23. In support of this national day of volunteerism, McDonald's in Maine is looking for individuals and groups willing to donate their time at several non-profit organizations across Maine. Locations, volunteer activities and the sign-up form are posted on the RMHC Maine website at http://rmhcmaine.org/volunteer. On Saturday participating volunteers will receive a complimentary breakfast and coffee from McDonald's, snacks from Newman's Own® Organics and t-shirts.

"We are calling our initiative Breakfast Makes a Difference because we feel that a good breakfast starts the day off right and can lead to good works," said Gary Eckmann, local McDonald's Owner/Operator of six McDonald's restaurants in the Bangor area. "In fact, we are encouraging everyone to get out on October 23rd and help in their communities where there is a need, whether it be at an organization or at your next door neighbor’s or family member’s home."

Individuals and groups interested in participating in McDonald’s Breakfast Makes a Difference program must sign up ahead of time at http://rmhcmaine.org/volunteer. Positions are limited and early sign-up is encouraged.
