Car chase ends in two arrests, damaged cruiser

BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A police-involved chase in Bangor ended in two arrests and a banged up police cruiser.

On Friday, Officer Steve Pelletier noticed a man who he believed was Jarod Brown, a habitual offender whose license had been revoked.

Pelletier says he saw Brown get into a car with a female passenger and drive off.

Pelletier followed the car down State Street, and Brown then tried to give The Law the slip, taking a detour around the block.

So, Pelletier turned on his lights and it turned into an active chase.  After a short chase, the driver pulled into the parking lot at Wing Park, across from Eastern Maine Medical Center, got out of the car and took off on foot.

Officers Pelletier and Shawn Green tackled and arrested the driver, who did turn out to be Jarod Brown.
